Grandson Graduates Kindergarden-30 New Chickens

Hello today is May the 22nd.

Dil graduated Kindergarden on May the 19th.

This young man had so many E's (stands for Excellent) on his final report card--The whole Family is so Proud of him. On to the First Grade.

Next week comes the big 6 Birthday--Happy Birthday!!

The baby chicks have hatched. We now have 30 beautiful Rhode Island Reds. So cute and fluffy.Duck eggs like another week.

Well the Grandson has Graduated-Yep Hip Hip Orray, Go Dil.

The GrandDaughter Rie was snapping pictures right and left.
At the age of 8 she's wants to be a reporter, a photo journalist,
a designer, looks like all this adds up to a possible Business Woman...

The last couple of weeks have been really busy, besides another hive of bees swarming(This one got away)

The ducks have been laying their eggs all in and around the woods.A duck house was built for the pond hopefully for them to sit on the eggs-didn't work so something got all their eggs but 14.

Now Jim had to buld an incubator and so we have a bunch of chicken eggs hatching off in a couple of weeks also the 14 duck eggs. The temperature and humidity has to be just right and they have to be turned every so often.

The Grandkids are winding down the school year with Kindergarden Graduation for the grandson-A Brownie Dance that the grand daughter needs a poodle skirt(which I have just about finished complete with pretty slip.

Wow-Today started out with this swarm of bees, I was surprised they usually don't swarm until May. I guess the weather being so whacky has them mixed up.

Called the husband, wasn't sure what to do here by myself. Get a new House(hive) for them and place it under the swarm,placed a board to give them a "bridge" and then I just watched them for about 4 hours until Jay came home.Did not want them flying off to who knows where-----Took these pictures and some video while I was hanging out in the yard.

Then he shook them into the hive. Sounds simple enough, but I did manage to get stung just once, Not by this set of bees, the others that we have in Hives that were just flying around. Jay rarely ever gets stung.

Oh, YES they are Honey Bees-They work very hard for the Honey that we enjoy eating. Guess you can't blame them for stinging every now and again.

While I didn't get any painting done on the mailboxes that I have been working on, No listing placed in my store at ecrater http://www.mimieshandpaintedcraftsvariety.ecrater.com/ it was worth the time to look around and see How the Bees were acting, watching the dogs play, the ducks swim and to see how the fruit trees were blooming. The dog woods look so pretty against the trees that have yet to find the leaves this time of year.

I especially love my Crab Apple Tree-The blooms are Beautiful, from red to a pink.So many things we take for granted like how nature looks and really is a very natural remedy for any stress that you may have in your life.

The puppies had a Great Time!!!

A day well worth spending outside in the sunshine.....
